  • We are a co-ed parochial elementary school sponsored by the St. George (Guilford)  and St. Margaret (Madison) parishes under the direction of the Archdiocese of Harford.
  • Since 1954, Our Lady of Mercy School has been educating shoreline students from pre-kindergarten to grade eight. Our Pre-K3 program offers a full-day or half-day option.
  • Our school uses a fascinating cross-curricular approach to learning called "STEAM", which incorporates science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics into daily lessons. 
  • Our Early Childhood Center approach to learning is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach.
  • 2012 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence - Awarded by the U.S. Department of Education, this most coveted award is bestowed upon 50 private and 219 public schools nationwide, recognizing overall academic excellence and commitment to accelerating student achievement.
  • Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC)
  • Among top 100 schools with the highest number of qualified students from the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented and Gifted Students
  • OLM 8th grade students consistently place within the top 10% on local area high school entrance exams
  • Each class has scored in the 90th percentile or above, in the nationally based IOWA TEST OF BASIC SKILLS in the last couple of years
  • Our Robotics program for grades K-8 focuses on engineering and computer programing
