All About Me Poster

Students show their creativity and introduce themselves to their classmates and their teacher at the beginning of the school year!

Book Reports

Book reports are completed each quarter relating to a different topic or subject. Students have a choice of what to complete as a final copy.

Colonial Day

Students are able to experience life during colonial times. They begin the day by going to the Henry Whitfield House in Guilford, CT. In the afternoon, students make crafts, eat colonial food, and play games of that time period.

Mystery State

The assignment enriches our Social Studies curriculum; the 4th grade must determine the location of a landmark through looking at puzzle pieces of that location. Every other week clues are given about one of the fifty states. Students must research the state and discuss facts about the state.

Connecticut Powerpoint

Students work in small groups to put together a Powerpoint of our study of Connecticut. The group will present this power point at the end of the year. The Powerpoint will include Connecticut’s geography, important dates, and people.

Poetry Book

Students will write original poems, in a variety of forms, to include in a poetry book. This will be completed during National Poetry Month.

Students choose a famous person from the Northeast to research. The report integrates both Northeastern study with expository writing.
